Choosing to continue a pregnancy and to parent a child can feel overwhelming at first – especially if a woman or couple is uninsured, young or unsupported. PREP (our Parenting Readiness & Enrichment Program) was designed with these situations in mind. PREP includes one-on-one sessions where our peer counselors build transformational relationships with moms and dads, and topical classes that foster friendships among group members. Parents actively participating in PREP earn essential items needed to care for their child – such as diapers, wipes, car seats and clothing – during their pregnancy and baby’s first year.
