Sanctity of Life celebrations and collections typically take place in January and February to coincide with the January 22nd anniversary of Roe v Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion. Although Roe was overturned in 2022, abortion remains fully legal in New Jersey. Lighthouse is serving more women and couples than ever who feel pressured to choose abortion due to their circumstances or finances.
To redeem this historic date and make a loving but bold statement that every life matters, Lighthouse invites you to join us in providing compassionate help to make life choices possible! Your partnership serves women and couples facing unexpected pregnancies and parents struggling to care for their newborns.
The goal of our 2026 Sanctity of Life celebration is to fill 600 New Moms’ Baskets with the brand-new essentials Lighthouse babies will need in the coming days. How to Help as an Individual
Giving is easier than ever for 2026 thanks to our Amazon Charity List! You can conveniently shop our most needed baby items and Amazon will deliver them directly to our headquarters (297 Lafayette Ave, Hawthorne). You can also purchase items and bring them to your group’s collection spot. If you prefer, you can make a financial donation below to provide pregnancy and parenting support.
How Churches, Schools & Knights Councils Can Help
Along with planning a special prayer time, or a service or sermon focused on the value of life, your group can distribute our 2026 Sanctity of Life flyer and host a collection of diapers, wipes and/or other baby items needed for our New Moms’ Baskets. You can choose whatever date is convenient to host your celebration and launch your collection.
Showing this year’s video on your launch date and setting up a collection point at your location to accept donations will increase participation and impact!

Special Note: We currently need gently used winter clothes for boys & girls (6 mths-2T). You can bring your items to your group’s collection spot OR our Hawthorne Headquarters front entrance (297 Lafayette Ave), weekdays from 9am – 5pm.

Your online donation provides free confidential services and ongoing support for mothers and fathers facing unexpected pregnancies or struggling to care for a newborn. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
$50 = two parenting appointments
$150 = one loving “first look” ultrasound
$1500 = one life saved & family served until child’s 1st birthday
One-time gifts are greatly appreciated, and monthly Lighthouse Keeper donations shine a light year-round. Thank you!
